Mary Jo Patterson

Speaker

Mary Jo found Jesus at the tender age of 7 at a vacation bible school in her home town of Harriston, Ontario. At the age of 26 she had another encounter with God through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Mary Jo discovered CFO after returning to Jesus as a young married woman. CFO has and continues to be a vibrant part of her life where she rediscovers the love of God personified in the campers and displayed in the ebb and flow of the camping program. As an ordained minister Mary Jo ministers at St. James United Church, Simcoe Ontario. She also has a part time therapy practice specializing in grief and trauma. As a writer and an artist, Mary Jo believes that Jesus takes all the past events of our lives and paints beautiful creations on the canvas of our present and future (“For we know that in all things God is working for good to those who know and love God and are called according to Gods purpose”. Romans 8:28). Mary Jo looks forward to being with you and prays that something she has lived and learned will be of blessing to you.

Sean Buell

Speaker

Much of Sean’s ministry stems from his personal testimony. Growing up as a Christian in Southern California, Sean walked away from Christ in the later part of high school, having decided that there must be more to the creator of the universe than the Christians around him seemed to demonstrate.

Ultimately, the emptiness of pagan and secular philosophies, combined with the loving pressure of Jesus caused Sean to return to his roots. His homecoming to Christ has given him a powerful ministry today because of the honest and relevant way he is able to relate to issues that now face people in our culture.

Sean has served at CFO camps all over the North American continent and in parts of Europe and South Asia. He has also served on the national level of CFO in several capacities. The ministry the Lord has given Sean emphasizes the fullness of Life that only Christ can give, the responsibility that each Christian has after they’ve responded to the work of the cross, and the imperative connection that believers need within the body of Christ.

Sean and his wife, Brandy, have been married for seven years and have three daughters. They attend and help serve at their home fellowship in Southern California.
